The Prado Exhibit
Plaza de Las Cruces. A traveling exhibition from the Museo Nacional del Prado, with the collaboration of the American Friends of the Prado Museum and the New Mexico Multi-Cultural Foundation to downtown Las Cruces. Exhibit features 92 masterpieces from Diego Velázquez, Francisco de Goya, Titian, Rubens, El Greco and more from the Prado Museum’s collection, photographically reproduced at a 1:1 scale. las-cruces.org.

Stephen Stills and Judy Collins
NMSU Pan American Center, Las Cruces. Iconic musical geniuses Stephen Stills and Judy Collins — friends for 50 years but never having toured together — will appear in concert at the Pan Am Center. panam.nmsu.edu.
Diez y Seis de Septiembre
Mesilla Plaza. Celebrate Mexican Independence day on the historic Mesilla Plaza with a weekend on folklorico dances, mariachi music, authentic Mexican food, vendors, games and more. Parade set for 10 a.m. Sept. 15. mesillanm.gov.
White Sands Hot Air Balloon Invitational
White Sands National Monument. Gates to the park will open at 6 a.m., with an expected launch time of 7 to 7:30 a.m. each morning. Balloon glow Saturday evening at Brabson Balloon Park. Vendors on site. White Sands National Monument park fees apply.
La Gran Fiesta
Plaza de Las Cruces. Fundraiser for CARE — Cancer Aid Resource & Education — features A.B. Quintanilla III and The Kumbia King Allstarz headlining on Saturday night. Festival also showcases live music both nights along with regional culture, food, arts and more. carelascruces.org.

Mesilla Valley Maze
New Mexico’s original corn maze and pumpkin patch includes a giant corn maze, pick-a-pumpkin patch, hayrides and more fun for the whole family. Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. mesillavalleymaze.com.
Mesilla Jazz Happening
Mesilla Plaza and Restaurants. Friday Night Jazz Crawl features live music at Café Don Felix, The Double Eagle, Hacienda de Mesilla, Josefina’s Old Gate, La Posta de Mesilla and St. Clair Winery & Bistro. Saturday and Sunday feature live jazz on the historic plaza. mvjazzblues.net.
Trinity Site Tour
Trinity Site, White Sands Missile Range. The Trinity Site is where the first atomic bomb was tested on July 16, 1945. Visitors see ground zero and the McDonald ranch house, along with one of the old instrumentation bunkers west of ground zero. wsmr.army.mil/Trinity/Pages/Home.aspx.
NMSU Pan American Center, Las Cruces

Red, White & Brew Festival

Las Cruces International Mariachi Conference
Las Cruces. Celebrating its 24th year, this five-day conference includes activities, educational workshops in mariachi music and folkloric dance, performance opportunities, concerts and a fiesta in a local park setting. lascrucesmariachi.org.
HomeGrown: A New Mexico Food Show & Gift Market

Christmas Carols & Luminarias

Antique Treasures Show

For the Love of Art Month

First Friday Downtown Art Ramble
5 to 7 p.m., first Friday of the month, Downtown Las Cruces. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. second Saturday of the month, Las Cruces. The 10-10 ArtsHop promotes art viewing and activities in greater Las Cruces with free and open to the public art exhibits, kids programming and entertainment.
